Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, through his social media handle (X), stated: “Under the bold and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has officially overtaken Japan to become the world’s fourth-largest economy, with a GDP of USD 4.2 trillion.”
According to data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), India is poised to surpass Germany and become the third-largest economy globally by 2028. “We are at a crucial juncture where all states must come together to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. As the nation moves towards this dream, Andhra Pradesh is set to become India’s growth engine while working towards the goal of Swarna Andhra @ 2047,” the Chief Minister said. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also posted on X, noting that India has successfully emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy, with a GDP of USD 4.18 trillion, as per NITI Aayog. He said this historic milestone reflected the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Modi and the progressive governance of the NDA Government since 2014.
“In the past decade, under NDA’s good governance, India’s growth story has been driven by innovation, infrastructure, inclusion, and digital transformation. This is more than just economic success – it reflects New India’s rising global prominence.
It is a major step towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy and achieving Viksit Bharat 2047,” he added.
Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav expressed his delight over India officially becoming the fourth-largest economy, overtaking Japan. “It’s a steady rise from being the 11th when Narendra Modi ji became Prime Minister over a decade ago. This progress is the result of the grit, determination and efforts of Team India under the visionary leadership of PM Modi,” he tweeted.
He further said that India is expected to overtake Germany soon and become the third-largest economy. “It is a good time under PM Modi’s leadership. We shall aim to become the second or even the largest economy by 2047, when we celebrate the centenary of our independence. Team India can achieve this on the path shown by PM Modi.”
Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for mentioning “Yoga Andhra 2025” in his “Mann Ki Baat” address.
Naidu said the people of the state have united behind the cause, reflecting a strong collective commitment to promoting yoga and its benefits across the state. “We are organising month-long yoga sessions across the state, including at 100 tourist destinations, along with several other exciting initiatives leading up to June 21. Through this, we aim to make yoga an integral part of our daily lives,” Naidu said in a post on ‘X’.
He added that the state is eagerly preparing to host PM Modi in Visakhapatnam on June 21 for the grand finale of the Yoga Day celebrations. Further, Naidu said the government would devise a plan to make yoga a lifelong practice for everyone.
