Chief Minister Revanth Reddy flagged off 213 newly procured ambulances. He also took part in the Arogya Utsav programme and launched healthcare programmes for Telangana. The CM will virtually inaugurate 16 nursing colleges, 28 government-affiliated healthcare colleges and 32 transgender clinics.
The Chief Minister, along with Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha handed over appointment letters to 442 Civil Assistant Surgeons and 24 Food Safety Officers under the Medical, Health, and Family Welfare Department.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said, “Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha has been efficiently leading the Medical and Health Department. In a year, 14,000 posts were filled in the health department, including appointments of 7,750 paramedical staff.”
Telangana youth played a crucial role in the statehood movement to demand employment and opportunities. We made history by filling 50,000 posts in a single year, an achievement unmatched in India’s 75-year history, he said.
Despite obstacles, DSC exams were conducted, and appointment letters were issued to 55 candidates within 55 days, he said. Group-1 exams, which were not conducted for 13 years, were held by the TGSPSC, he added. 563 Group-1 officers will soon get appointment letters and will join
TG government service, the CM said.
The government appointed Burra Venkatesam as the TGSPSC Chairman, moving away from the policy of making politically determined appointments by previous administrations.
The Arogyasri scheme’s limit has been increased to ?10 lakh. Over ?835 crore have been distributed through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in a year setting a record.
