Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to deposit a total of Rs.431.58 crore under Jagnanna Thodu with the click of a button at CM’s Camp Office in Tadepalli on Thursday. The scheme will include new interest-free loans through banks worth Rs. 417.94 crore
to 3,95,000 small and marginal traders and artisans at Rs.10,000 and more and Rs.13.64 crore to 5.81 lakh beneficiaries as interest subvention out of 16,73,576 total beneficiaries.
The officials stated that Andhra Pradesh is setting an example for the country in supporting small businesses. The Jagan government provides a full interest subsidy (from 7.32 pc to
15.85 pc) under Jagananna Thodu.
Across India, 58,65,827 small businesses under PM Svanidhi have been provided with loans, while in Andhra Pradesh alone a whopping 16,73,576 businesses have received interest-free loans under Jagananna Thodu.
Throughout India, small businesses under PM Svanidhi have been provided with loans of Rs. 10,220.47 crore till date, while in Andhra Pradesh alone, Jagananna Thodu has provided loans of Rs. 3,373.73 crore. Interest reimbursements under PM Svanidhi across
India amount to Rs. 138.49 crore,while interest reimbursements under Jagananna Thodu in AP are Rs. 88.33 crore.
The officials explained that standing by the small businessmen and artisans, the Jagan government is extending a helping hand to bring festive cheer into their homes. They stated that for the eighth consecutive time, Jagananna Thodu is providing livelihood for street vendors and to help poor petty traders and artisans become self-reliant, an
interest-free loan of Rs.10,000 per annum is provided. To those who took loans and repaid on time, an increment of Rs.1,000 is given each year in addition to Rs.10,000 up to Rs.13,000 as loan.
The officials explained that in addition to the interest reimbursement of Rs.13.64 crore being provided, the Jagan government has so far reimbursed a total of Rs.88.33 crore as
interest to 15.87 lakh beneficiaries, who have repaid their loans on time. So far, a total of Rs. 3,373.73 croreworth interest free loans have been provided to petty traders, including Rs. 417. 94 crore being distributed to
