Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the new building of the Osmania General Hospital in Goshamahal on Friday.
The function was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha, and Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
The new Osmania General Hospital has been the dream of many. Due to various reasons the BRS government was unable to take a decision on rebuilding the hospital.
“We have taken the 26-acre Goshamahal Police Ground and the new Osmania General Hospital will have a 12-storey building with 2,000 bed capacity. It will cost Rs 2700 crore from construction of the building to putting place the infrastructure and medical equipment and will be ready in two years,” said Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha while addressing the media after the foundation stone laying ceremony.
