The simmering discontent between Tourism Minister and Nagari MLA RK Roja and YSRCP senior leader KJ Santhi has come to the fore again in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Minister RK Roja is facing dissidence from another senior YSRCP leader KJ Santhi in her Nagari constituency. Their rivalry was taken to the notice of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy previously.

During the Chief Minister’s programme in Nagiri on Monday, the two women leaders maintained their face-off during the programme.

Understanding their rivalry, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, on the dais itself, held the hands of RK Roja and KJ Santhi and tried to unite them. However, Santhi seemed reluctant to join hands with RK Roja.

When the Chief Minister held her hand and tried to unite with RK Roja, Santhi was seen immediately pulling her hand, indicating her dislike to join hands with Roja. This incident became a hot topic in YSRCP political circles.

Significantly, the rifts between Roja and Pedireddy Ramachandra Reddy also came to the fore on Monday as flex banners erected by Peddireddy followers in Nagari welcoming the Chief Minister were devoid of Raja’s images.

The five YSRCP mandal in-charges erected huge flex banners welcoming the Chief Minister in Nagari but Minister RK Roja’s image did not appear in the banners despite Roja being a minister, exposing the disconnections among the YSRCP leaders.
