Bharatha Rastra Samithi MLA Harish Rao accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of consistently misleading the House by raising false issues whenever the ruling party was cornered. He said that he would move a privilege motion regarding that and pointed out that this has been a recurring pattern in every session.
Harish emphasized that a leader should be a model of integrity, but instead Revanth has been speaking lies in the Assembly. He cited past sessions when retired engineers reported that the Kaleshwaram Project was unviable near the Medigadda Barrage which KCR had ignored thereby misleading the House. Harish also accused the CM of using fabricated documents to mislead the Assembly on electricity meters in the recent session. He alleged that Revanth read selective sentences and omitted the rest and this led to the submission of a postponement motion.
He said that their intention is to move a privilege motion against the CM. On the issue of agricultural pump meters Harish said that KCR did not agree to install meters but created a misleading impression by referencing the Uday scheme agreement. Continued on Page 2
He refuted Revanth’s allegations regarding the Pothireddypadu Project during YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s term stating that they had resigned from the cabinet even before the GO was issued citing Pothireddypadu as one of the reasons.
Harish criticised Revanth for not making any sacrifices for Telangana, while they had resigned when the Telangana state declaration was delayed. He noted that Revanth did not even submit a fake resignation.
Harish blamed individuals like Revanth for the sacrifices that had to be made during the Telangana movement. He asked whether any leader had a resignation history like KCR, whose fast led to the announcement about the formation of Telangana state.
He accused Revanth of never working for Telangana during the 14-year struggle for a state and claimed that Revanth would have remained with Chandrababu if not for KCR’s efforts.
Harish also pointed to Revanth’s contradictory statements about LRS, questioning his past and present stance. He also mocked the CM’s claim that the BRS story is over, pointing out that the Congress never ceased to function despite setbacks.
Harish criticised Revanth for misleading the Assembly thrice already with false claims and urged the media to expose the lies.
He concluded by accusing Revanth of spreading Goebbels-like propaganda about farm loan waivers, asserting that the budget had allocated only Rs 25,000 crore when Rs 31,000 crore was needed for waiving farm loans in full.
