Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu addressed public grievances on Saturday during his visit to the TDP central office in Mangalagiri. Among the complaints was one from Veeravalli Venkayamma, a widow, who sought justice for her tiffin hotel, allegedly taken over by followers of YSRCP leader Gopireddy Srinivasareddy.
Venkayamma recounted that in 2014, during the tenure of Speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao, she was allotted a small piece of land near the Narasaraopet bus stand to set up her hotel, which she ran successfully. However, after the YSRCP came to power in 2019, Gopireddy Srinivasareddy and his associates allegedly seized her hotel. Tearfully, she informed the CM that she faced repeated threats and attacks whenever she tried to reclaim her business. Venkayamma urged Chandrababu Naidu to take action against YSRCP leaders Subbareddy and Lakshanreddy and ensure the return of her hotel.
During the grievance session, Chandrababu Naidu extended financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to individuals struggling with medical expenses. He also interacted with differently-abled individuals, senior citizens, and other vulnerable sections, assuring them that their issues would be resolved. In another case, Yerripalli Muthyallamma from Durgi Mandal in Palnadu district appealed for help regarding her 5-acre inherited farmland. She alleged that villagers were obstructing her access to the land, adding that they had previously killed her mother and plotted to kill her in 2009. Despite seeking help from local authorities, no action was taken, she claimed. The CM assured her that the matter would be addressed promptly.
In addition, two donors, Mokkapati Sheshagirirao and Radhakrishna, contributed Rs 1 lakh each towards the Anna Canteen initiative. The donors handed over their cheques to the Chief Minister, who lauded their generosity and support for the government’s efforts to provide meals to the underprivileged.
