CM Revanth Reddy says Adani Issue is not in our hands

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy clarified that the Adani issue is beyond the control of the current government, stating that previous administrations had signed agreements related to defense and highways. “We cannot cancel agreements made with private companies unilaterally due to legal constraints,” he said, adding that the issue was not limited to Adani alone. He emphasized that action should be taken against several individuals involved in defense manufacturing.

In a wide-ranging address, CM Revanth Reddy also spoke about the Telangana movement and the historical context behind its formation. He highlighted the role of leaders like Yadava Reddy and Jaipal Reddy, praising their commitment to the cause and their ideological contributions. He noted, “Yadava Reddy’s role in the Telangana movement is commendable. He worked hard from the backdoors for statehood and played a crucial role in discussions with Sonia Gandhi, helping pass the Telangana Bill.”

The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of documenting the history of the Telangana movement. He called for the publication of a comprehensive book that would cover the various phases of the movement, from the Mulki agitation to the formation of the state, and provide insights into the contributions of key figures.

Addressing broader national issues, CM Revanth Reddy raised concerns about the ongoing situation in Manipur, where he claimed sophisticated weapons were exacerbating ethnic conflicts. He also spoke about China’s growing territorial aggression, pointing out the lack of discussion on these critical issues. “We need a serious debate on these matters to ensure peace and national security,” he urged.The Chief Minister’s comments reflect his commitment to both preserving Telangana’s history and addressing national security concerns.
