Jana Sena Political Affairs Committee chairman Nadendla Manohar came down heavily on Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy asking him why he is scared to come to the people and alleged that the government resorting to abusing opposition leaders personally instead of taking steps to resolve issues.
Manohar, as part of his north AP district visit, visited D Matsalesam village and interacted with the fishermen. He knew their problems. Later talking to the media he deplored that the youths were migrating to other areas seeking livelihood. “The government, which is to take steps to check the exodus and provide employment, is deceiving the people in the name of three capital cities. The ministers are indulging in personal abuse of opposition leaders instead of knowing and resolving the problems of the people of the area,” he lashed out.
The people of the area are angry at the government and massive disenchantment in the government is growing. Celebrating Fisherman’s Day would not resolve the problems. The politics of seeing fishermen as a vote bank is not proper for the government. The State Government is in the unfortunate situation of not being able to provide the subsidy money extended by the National Fisheries Department, which is a Central government agency, to the fishermen, he lambasted, adding that the fishermen are not being extended the oil subsidies.
Manohar assured the fishermen’s community people to stand by them and extend all needed help. The JSP would launch an institute for their skill development and create employment, he announced.
“Pawan Kalyan has highlighted the kidney disease problem that prevailed in Uddanam village and he fought for the cause. Pawan Kalyan took the Uddnam kidney issue to the international level and brought experts to the village. Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has no idea what is the problem of Uddanam and he does not know the kidney problem of the villagers,” he lashed.
“Though it has been three-and-half years since Jagan Mohan Reddy came to power, he has not spoken to the media personally. What can we say about such a Chief Minister? The YSRCP leaders are plundering the natural resources of the state and the government is mortgaging public properties,” he flayed.
Later Manohar handed over a Rs 5 lakh cheque to the family of JSP activist Guntur Srinivas, who was killed in a road accident. He consoled his wife Geeta, inquired about the education of their children, and handed the cheque. He also assured the family to extend all needed help in the future also.
