Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is set to visit New Delhi on Friday for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This visit marks another crucial step in the State’s ongoing efforts to revive and accelerate development projects, particularly the capital city project of Amaravati.

During the visit, the Chief Minister is expected to discuss a range of important issues concerning the State, including pending Central assistance, infrastructure development, and policy support from the Union Government. Sources close to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) indicated that the discussions would primarily focus on collaboration between the State and the Centre for the comprehensive development of Andhra Pradesh.

A key agenda item for the meeting will be the relaunch of construction and development works in Amaravati, the State’s capital city. The CM is expected to formally invite Prime Minister Modi to participate in the official relaunch ceremony scheduled for May 2. The Amaravati project, which had been stalled in recent years, is now being prioritised by the Chandrababu Naidu-led administration, which envisions transforming it into a world-class capital city.

This visit is being viewed as a significant political and administrative move, underscoring the State government’s renewed commitment to its capital city project and its strategy to garner Central support.
