CM set to release Rs 330.15 crore for Rajakas, Nayi Brahmins & Darjis today

In all, 3,30,145 eligible Rajakas, Nayi Brahmins and Darjis (tailors) across the State will get Rs 330.15 crore financial assistance under the ‘Jagananna Chedodu’ for the third consecutive year. The amount will be deposited in the accounts of the beneficiaries by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy at a function to be held at Vinukonda in Palnadu district on Monday.

Under the ‘Jagananna Chedodu’ scheme, shop owners from Rajaka, Nayi Brahmin, and Tailor communities will get Rs 10,000 each. With this, each beneficiary will receive Rs 30,000 in financial assistance from the Jagan government and the total amount provided by the government will go up to Rs 927.39 crore under the ‘Jagananna Chedodu’ scheme in the last three years.

The Jagan government has selected the eligible beneficiaries in a transparent manner through village /ward secretariats by conducting social audits. The Jagan government is further providing an opportunity to the eligible beneficiaries in June and December who miss the opportunity.

A total of 1,67,951 tailors with shops will receive Rs 167.95 crore, 1,14,661 Rajakas will receive Rs 114.67 crore and 47,533 Nayi Brahmins with shops will receive Rs 47.53 crore at the rate of Rs 10,000 each.

According to a press release by the Chief Minister’s Office, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will start from Tadepalli at 10 am and reach Vinukonda at 10.40 am. Between 11.05 am – 12.20 pm, the Chief Minister will participate in a public meeting organised at Vinukonda-Vellaturu Road and deposit cash in the accounts of the beneficiaries under the Jagananna Chedodu scheme at a programme there.
