Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at the Begumpet Airport here and urged him to speed up clearances for several key infrastructure projects in Telangana, especially in and around Hyderabad.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister discussed in detail pending issues regarding the Regional Ring Road (RRR), radial roads and greenfield expressways that are crucial for easing traffic congestion and promoting connectivity in the capital.
Revanth requested Gadkari to accord early financial and cabinet approvals for the northern part of the RRR, for which tenders have already been invited.
He also sought the Union Minister’s cooperation to complete both the northern and southern segments of the RRR for greater efficiency.
The CM also sanctioned an elevated corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam on National Highway 765 to facilitate smoother travel along the Hyderabad–Srisailam stretch. He also sought immediate clearance for the proposed Hyderabad-Amaravati Greenfield Expressway.
The Chief Minister explained the urgent need to develop radial roads connecting the ORR and RRR to reduce the growing traffic burden.
He specifically pointed out the requirement for approval of radial road works, including the Hyderabad-Dindi-Mannanur and the Hyderabad-Mancherial Greenfield Highway, and the road from ORR to Manneguda.
Revanth said that these infrastructure projects will be vital for Hyderabad’s future growth and pressed Gadkari to clear all proposals without delay.
Joining the Chief Minister at the meeting were ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Ponnam Prabhakar, Tummala Nageswara Rao, MPs Mallu Ravi, Anil Kumar Yadav and advisors Harkara Venugopal among others.
