CM to attend ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign today

As part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will be participating in a programme in Machilipatnam on Wednesday, to mark Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary. The CM, along with people’s representatives, officials, and students, will take part in the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ initiative.
In connection with this, Minister for Mines & Geology and Excise Kollu Ravindra, Krishna District Collector DK Balaji, and SP R Gangadhara Rao inspected the arrangements in Machilipatnam on Tuesday. Also, they convened a meeting with the officials concerned regarding the Chief Minister’s tour to Machilipatnam.
Minister Ravindra visited the National Degree College and inspected the arrangements of the helipad. Later, he inspected the college’s surrounding areas and instructed the officials to keep the city clean and green. Minister Ravindra, Collector Balaji, and SP Gangadhara Rao visited Mudusthambhala Centre, Ladies Club, TTD Kalyana Mandapam, Rythu Bazar, Sundaraiah Colony, Mustakhan Peta and other areas.
During the inspection, the Collector stated that CM Chandrababu will attend the Safai Karmachari Sanitation workers’ meeting to be held at the TTD Kalyana Mandapam. After a face-to-face interaction with the sanitation workers, the CM will distribute clothes and safety equipment to them, he added.
Joint Collector Geethanjali Sharma, DRO Chandrasekhar, ZP CEO Kannama Naidu, DPO Dr Aruna, R & B Officer Lokesh, Municipal Commissioners Bapi Raju, Gopala Rao, Venkateswara Rao, Srinivasa Rao, Pollution Control Board EE Srinivas, Fire Officer Narasimha Rao, Public Health EE Ram Prasad and others were present.
Environment protection everyone’s responsibility
As part of the campaign, Minister Kollu Ravindra and Machilipatnam MP Vallabhaneni Balashowry planted saplings at Rice Mill at Machavaram on Tuesday. The programme was organised by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
They participated in cleaning roads and planted saplings. Also, they organised a cycle rally to create awareness among the public. Minister Ravindra said that sapling plants and protecting the environment are everyone’s responsibilities.
Pedana MLA Kagitha Krishna Prasad, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Chief Engineer Rakesh Kumar, Ex-Municipal Chairman M Baba Prasad, and others were present.
