CM to unveil 146 new ‘108’ ambulances today

The Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will flag off 146 new ambulances (108 service) at the CM Camp Office on Monday. The government has procured 146 new ambulances to replace the old ambulances which have covered more than 2,50,000 km and are undergoing frequent repairs. For the new ambulances the state government has spent Rs 34.79 crores (including equipment).

Out of the 146 new ambulances Anakapalli district will get 4 ambulances, Anantapur 5, Annamayya 8, Bapatla 4, Chittoor 8, East Godavari 1, Eluru 4, Guntur 1, Kakinada 3, Konaseema 2, Krishna 3, Kurnool 7, Nandyala 13, Nellore 14, NTR 6, Palnadu 7, Parvathipuram Manyam 2, Brightness 14, Sri Sathya Sai 7, Srikakulam 4, Tirupati 7, Visakhapatnam 2, Vizianagaram 11, West Godavari 2 and YSR 7 ambulances.

The health department officials that the total budget spent on ambulance services from 2020 to 2023, Capital Expenditure is Rs 135.05 crores for maintenance of 108 ambulances Rs 14.39 crores was spent per month and Rs 172.68 crore per annum. The cost for ERC was Rs 1.32 crores per month and Rs 15.88 crore per annum. The total operating expenditure for 108 ambulance services was Rs 188.56 crores per annum.
