Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is scheduled to visit the district on December 15 to inaugurate a state-of-the-art 200-bed hospital and a kidney research centre in Padmanabhapuram under the Palasa-Kasibugga Municipality. The announcement was made by Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister Sidiri Appalaraju on Friday.
Appalaraju toured the site accompanied by Collector Srikeshbalaji Latkar and SP Radhika. The trio inspected the premises of the hospital, the Assembly ground, and the construction areas of the helipad.
Officials informed that a public meeting is scheduled to be held on the railway ground, with the helipad situated in the private layout opposite Padmanabhapuram Industrial Estate. Adequate parking arrangements will be made at the railway hospital ground to accommodate the anticipated crowd.
During the inspection, Collector Srikeshbalaji Latkar raised questions about the Kidney Research Centre, prompting inquiries with health department officials. Municipal Commissioner T. Nagendrakumar, RDO Bharat Naik, DSP Nageswara Reddy, R&B SE Jansudhakar, EE Satyanarayana, Vidyut SE Nagireddy, Panchayat Officer Ravikumar, DLPO IV. Ramana, Tahsildar L Madhusudana Rao, and MPDO N Rameshna were also present at the programme.
In addition to the hospital inauguration, CM Jaganmohan Reddy will also launch the Uddanam drinking water scheme at Makharampuram in Kanchili mandal on the same day. The inspection of the construction works for the Uddanam drinking water scheme and helipad at Ampuram took place, with Collector Srikesh Balaji Lathkar and SP Radhika overseeing the progress. ZP Chairperson Piriya Vijaya, JC Naveen, Kashibugga DSP Nageswara Reddy, Power Department SE Krishnamurthy, and Uddanam project officials participated in the programme.
