The Movie Artistes Association of Andhra Pradesh (AP) has urged Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu to include the development of the Telugu film industry as an additional promise in the upcoming election manifesto, transforming the “Super Six” into the “Super Seven.” Association President and film director Dilip Raja made this appeal during a press conference held on Saturday, where he praised the “Super Six” election promises of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and their implementation.
Dilip Raja highlighted the importance of the upcoming AP Cabinet Meeting scheduled for August 27 and requested CM Chandrababu Naidu to discuss the government’s efforts towards the promotion and development of the Telugu film industry in Andhra Pradesh.
He suggested that the construction of film studios, with all necessary facilities, in Amaravati, Tirupati, and Visakhapatnam, modeled after the Hyderabad film studios, could significantly boost revenue for the state. Raja proposed the establishment of a mega film studio in Amaravati that meets international standards, which could potentially lead to the relocation of various departments of the film industry to the city. He also expressed optimism that a dedicated “Filmnagar” could be established in Amaravati if film workers, who wish to reside in Andhra Pradesh, are allotted housing.
In conclusion, Dilip Raja appealed to CM Naidu to discuss the development of the Telugu film industry in the upcoming cabinet meeting and to consider announcing this initiative as the seventh promise, thereby enhancing the “Super Six” into the “Super Seven.”
