CM will inaugurate 2 STPs

Chief Minister of Telangana Revanth Reddy is going to open Pedda Cheruvu and Nallacheruvu Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) in the city on Saturday. These two were part of the STPs project undertaken with the aim of 100 percentage sewage treatment in Hyderabad city.
Nalla Cheruvu STP has been built in the area of 30 acres with the cost of Rs 119.80 crore and the capacity is 86.5 MLD. According to the estimates of 2021 year 3,49,736 population benefited and in the horizon year 2036 a total of 4,58,174 population would be benefitted.
STP at Nalla Cheruvu covers Nacharam, Cantonment, Kapra, Baba Nagar, ESI, HMT Nagar, High Court, Colony, Seshasai nagar Dwaraka Nagar, Kamala Nagar, South Swarup
Nagar, Old Ramanathapur, Prem Nagar, Patel Nagar, Azad Nagar, Kalyan Nagar
Colony, KCR Colony, KTR Colony, Mini Shilparamam, Uppal Bhagayat, Aditya Hospital, Ramanathapur, IDI Uppal, RGI stadium, Modern Bakery Road, Uppal, Habsiguda, Uppal, Srinivasa Colony, Vijayapuri Colony of Nallacheruvu Catchment area of Uppal Circle.
Meanwhile, the Pedda Cheruvu STP has been built with the cost of Rs 45.67 crore in the area of 6.67 acres and the capacity is 17.50 MLD. A total population of 2,94,289 would be benefitted according to the estimates of the year of 2021 and 3,58,897 people would be benefitted by horizon year of 2036.

Sewage flowing from Nacharam, Tarnaka, Mallapur and other areas through nala will be intercepted at Pedda Cheruvu and connected to STP at Pedda Cheruvu.
