Cocaine, MDMA drug sales ring busted

The Commissioners Taskforce, East Zone team, in collaboration with Lake Police, arrested three drug peddlers, Abbula Sai Sharath, Abbula Shravan and Srivastav Rishab. The suspects were caught in possession of 11.34 grams of cocaine and 3.66 grams of MDMA near Jalavihar, Necklace Road, Hyderabad. Along with the drugs, authorities seized one bike, two envelopes, four cell phones and a weighing machine.
The details of the accused are Abbula Sai Sharath, 25, residing in Begumpet, was originally from Nizamabad. Abbula Shravan, 23, residing in Begumpet, originally belongs to Nizamabad. Srivastav Rishab, 27, residing in Yousufguda, Hyderabad.
The main accused, Abbula Sai Sharath, and his brother, Abbula Shravan, originally from Nizamabad but residing in Begumpet, started a restaurant called LittleIdly in Banjara Hills in 2019, managed by professional chef Sai Kiran. Sharath, disturbed by personal issues, turned to alcohol and drugs. He met Srivastav Rishab through Sai Kiran, and they became friends due to their mutual addiction to drugs. Rishab had a previous case registered against him under the NDPS Act at SR Nagar PS. Together, they formulated a plan to purchase cocaine for sale in the market. Sharath was tasked with purchasing the cocaine, Shravan with collecting it from the courier office and Rishab with selling it.

Upon receiving the courier at Begumpet, disguised as a document, Sharath proceeded to Jalavihar to deliver it to Rishab. Acting on a tip-off, the Commissioners Taskforce, East Zone Team apprehended the trio at Jalavihar, finding them in possession of psychotropic substances. The arrested individuals and seized property were handed over to the SHO Lake Police for further action.
