Collector asks officials to prepare flawless voter list

District Collector V Prasanna Venkatesh directed the officials concerned to prepare a flawless voter list.
The Collector held a video conference with the EROs and AEROs on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the applications received for the special amendment of the voter list should be dealt with within the stipulated time and it should be ensured that the vote of any person who is eligible for the special amendment of the voter list in the district is not deleted from the list.
Form-6, Form-7, and Form-8 received as a part of the voter list amendment should be resolved within the stipulated time as per the rules of the Election Commission, he added.
Awareness programs should be organized in colleges on the importance of voting rights and steps should be taken to enroll the names of those who cross 18 years of age, the Collector told the official and directed them to organise awareness programs on December 2 and 3 in the district at the polling booth level on the special voter registration programme.
Joint Collector B Lavanya Veni, DRO M Venkateswarlu NDC Gitanjali, and other officials were present.
