Collector commends officials for exemplary efforts during polls

The District Election Officer and Collector, Dr A Mallikarjuna, has lauded the exemplary efforts of Visakhapatnam district officers and staff during the general election process. Mallikarjuna expressed his appreciation for their dedication and responsible conduct throughout the electoral proceedings.
From the initiation of the election cycle with the publication of the notification to the declaration of results, officers and staff diligently participated in various processes. The Collector particularly highlighted their role during the vote-counting process on June 04, emphasising their commitment to ensuring timely and accurate result announcements.
The Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) across all Assembly constituencies in Visakhapatnam received praise for their effective management, contributing to a peaceful electoral environment. Lower-level staff members were also recognised for their enthusiastic involvement in report preparation and media support during result announcements.
Acknowledging the crucial role of the media in facilitating a smooth electoral process, special thanks were extended to all media representatives. Mallikarjuna also expressed gratitude to political parties, candidates, election observers, and district Revenue and police officials for their support. Highlighting the enthusiasm demonstrated by voters, he emphasised their active participation, which contributed to the success of the election. He reaffirmed the district administration’s commitment to conducting the electoral process transparently and in accordance with Election Commission rules.
