District Collector A Shyam Prasad has directed officials to formulate a comprehensive hundred-day development plan to accelerate progress in Parvathipuram district. The initiative is aligned with the state’s Vision 2047 and aims to drive transformative changes at the grassroots level. During a review meeting with primary sector departments on Friday, the Collector emphasised the need for a meticulously planned and actionable roadmap to enhance the overall quality of life within the district. He underscored the transformative potential of artificial intelligence and the district’s imperative to adapt and leverage its capabilities.
“The government’s Vision 2047 is a blueprint for uplifting the lives of our citizens, particularly the marginalised,” said Collector Shyam Prasad. “Artificial intelligence offers unprecedented opportunities to revolutionize various sectors. We must proactively integrate it into our development strategy.”
Highlighting the document’s scope, he remarked, “This vision document must encapsulate health, welfare, economic development, social progress, environmental sustainability, and overall sustainable development. It’s crucial for raising the standard of living in our district.” He also set ambitious targets for the district’s development over the next five years, with an aim for at least 15 per cent annual growth. “Our plans must have clear financial and physical goals. They should be realistic and based on factual data to ensure successful implementation,” the Collector explained.
Specific directives were given to the Agriculture Department to prepare village-level plans, with a clear understanding of primary, manufacturing, and service sectors. “We need a robust plan that boosts our district’s per capita income and gross income,” he said, setting a deadline for the draft report by the 26th of this month.

District Planning Officer P. Veera Raju echoed the Collector’s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of value-oriented designs in the plans. “Every aspect of the plan should be crafted with value in mind, and we must identify the district’s strengths and capabilities,” he said. He also underscored the importance of adhering to the government-prescribed timeline. The meeting was attended by key district officials including the District Revenue Officer.
