Collector directs officials to provide Basic facilities in R & R colonies

District Collector Bhavesh Mishra on Thursday inspected the Primary Health Centres in Relief and Rehabilitation (R and R) colony under Malhar Rao Mandal and asked the officials concerned to provide basic amenities in the colony and hand over the colony to the displaced persons in three months.

He also visited the R and R colonies and PHCs in the Kapuram and Tadicherla villages of Malhar Mandal. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the government released funds for the development of basic amenities in the R and R colonies and tenders have been called to execute the works.

He asked the authorities to take steps for the development of CC roads, provision of electricity, supply of drinking water and development of drainages to R and R colony. Currently, funds have been sanctioned for the development of infrastructural amenities for 143 houses and works would be taken up for the rest of the 80 houses soon.

Later visiting the PHC at Tadicherla, he interacted with the personnel there to identify the local problems. He ordered officials to provide a quarter facility for the PHC personnel as it is located at a faraway place. He asked the officials to send proposals for the construction of residential quarters for the PHC staff. He distributed KCR Nutritional Kits to pregnant women. He enquired from officials about the supply of milk and eggs to children and women visiting the Anganwadis.
