District Collector A Sharat has called upon doctors to work with dedication and follow up on referral cases.
He reviewed the progress of the activities of the women’s health centres with the District Medical and Health Officer, Government Hospital Superintendent and other medical and health personnel here on Monday.
He asked the Arogya Mahila programme staff to work with dedication to achieve the targets for women’s health.
The outpatient departments at Bilalulpur, Jharasangam, Jinnaram, and RC Pur on Tuesday should receive more patients. The diagnostic tests should increase by 100 per cent. The diagnostic tests should be conducted for women – visiting the Arogya Mahila Kendra – within the stipulated parameters.
He asked the medical officers to follow up with the referral cases. He wanted the DRDO, ZP CEO to visit Arogya Mahila Kendras every week. If diagnostic tests are made properly, the results would be accurate. A chart depicting the symptoms of various diseases should be displayed, he asked the medical officers concerned.
He asked the medical officers to submit to him the number of visitors to the OP on Tuesdays and the diagnosis made and furnish him with the details of UTIs. It should be recorded in the concerned register what diagnostic tests are run on the patients. He made it clear that he would not tolerate any negligence on the part of the medical personnel.
Hospital superintendent Dr Anil Kumar has been asked to conduct mammography tests in all the referral cases. To collect samples, the T-hub van schedule should be rescheduled, he said.
