There should not be any lack of proper safety measures at the warehouse in which electronic voting machines (EVMs) are stored, said District Collector P Uday Kumar on Friday.
As part of monthly inspection of the warehouse in which EVMS are stored, the Collector inspected the warehouses. He was accompanied by Tahsildar and the Revenue officials.
Uday Kumar inspected the strongroom in which the EVMS and the functioning of the closed-circuit television cameras installed at the warehouse.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the inspection was intended to ensure that security measures are taken to protect the EVMs. He interacted with the security guards posted at the warehouses.
