Collector warns doctors of action against laxity

District Collector Hanumanth K zandge has asked medical officers to be vigilant against seasonal diseases and pay special attention in providing healthcare to pregnant women.
On Saturday, the Collector conducted a surprise inspection of the Bibinagar Primary Health Centre. The attendance register of the staff was examined. He directed the District Medical Officer to take action against the senior assistant who was absent from duty.
The doctors were told to ensure strict adherence to the timings. The drug store, details of medicines and registers of the hospital were checked. Be aware of seasonal diseases and be prepared with all the necessary medicines. ASHA and ANM staff should visit frequently and provide their treatment, services of pregnant women should be increased, special attention should be paid to their health data and maternal and child health is important.
He said that the surroundings of the hospital should be kept clean, water should not be stored, every Friday should be observed as a dry day and appropriate measures should be taken to prevent the spread of mosquitoes. Since 70 per cent of the new building of the primary health centre has been completed, the remaining works should be completed immediately and made available to the public, he said. District Medical and Health Officer Dr Papa Rao and others were present.
