In a bid to combat the spread of propaganda against the ruling YSRCP government, V Vijayasai Reddy, YSRCP state coordinator, in-charge of subsidiary wings, and MP, has called upon the party’s legal department to take swift action.
Vijayasai Reddy convened meetings with various party officials including Panchayat Raj representatives, presidents of judicial departments, zonal in-charges, district presidents, and regional and parliamentary polling booth in-charges at the YSR Congress Party central office in Tadepalli on Thursday.
During the meeting, Vijayasai Reddy expressed concern over certain media organisations and newspapers disseminating misleading information and falsehoods about the government.
He stressed that such efforts are aimed at undermining the party’s reputation in the eyes of the public. He appealed to the party’s legal team to effectively address this situation through lawful means.
He also requested the judicial department to extend its support, just as it did during previous elections, in all matters including filing nomination papers for party candidates.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to the welfare of junior lawyers, Vijayasai Reddy announced that a monthly stipend of Rs 5000 would be provided under the name of YSR Law Nestham. He urged junior lawyers to communicate the government’s commendable initiatives to the public. Furthermore, he called for the expeditious completion of committee appointments related to various departments.
The legal department meeting was presided over by Manohar Reddy, the president of the party’s legal department.
