Planning Board Vice-Chairman and Central MLA Malladi Vishnu, on Monday, urged State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mukesh Kumar Meena to take action against Telugu Desam posts on social media violating the election code. A complaint has been lodged with the CEO at the Velagapudi secretariat along with evidence.
Speaking to the media persons later, Malladi Vishnu criticised that the alliance candidates are not following the election code across the State. Chandrababu’s behaviour, especially in public meetings, is deplorable. He pointed out that Chandrababu speaking in the Godavari district meetings against the Chief Minister was “Bachcha”. The TDP leader’s comments are inciting hatred among the voters. He said that the EC has been asked to take appropriate action on this.
Vishnu expressed anger that Chandrababu’s sole agenda was to spread false propaganda against the Chief Minister and further said that the alliance has no single agenda to do good for the people. Chandrababu, Lokesh, Sharmila and Sunitha have been repeatedly talking about Vivekananda Reddy’s case, which is under the jurisdiction of the court. Moreover, he questioned how they can criticise YS Avinash Reddy as a murderer. The MLA said that all the people are observing the posts on Telugu Desam websites about the death of pensioners and advised to stop such things.
While CM Jagan was touring Rayalaseema and solved the problem of a poor Muslim person, the TDP social media was publicising false information that the CM did not care for them and did not stop the bus. He said that CM Jagan gave top priority to Muslims by giving cabinet ministry to minority leaders for four-and-a-half years and the TDP has no right to talk about minorities.
Malladi Vishnu said it is ironic that even Jana Sena, which has no recognition in the State, is talking ill about Chief Minister Jagan and asked the EC to take steps to withdraw his words.
Vishnu said that it is painful to drag Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam into politics. If the TDP talks ill about the TTD the party will be totally wiped out and the leaders of the alliance were advised to refrain from mentioning castes and religions.
MLA Vishnu further said that it is ridiculous that Chandrababu, who failed to fulfil the promises given to farmers, is boasting about Rythu Rajyam. After the YSRCP government took the reins, 53.58 lakh farmers were provided Rs 34,378 crore under Rythu Bharosa. For free agricultural electricity subsidy Rs 43,744 crore was spent. While Rs 7,802 crore was spent under free crop insurance, 55 lakh farmers were benefited by the YSRCP government.
MLA was accompanied by Navaratnalu programme executive vice-chairman Ankamreddy Naga Narayanamurthy, YCP legal cell president Manohar Reddy, legal cell members Srinivasa Reddy and Oggu Gavaskar.
