Chief Secretary Dr. KS Jawahar Reddy has issued instructions to district collectors to ensure the completion of land surveys in 2,000 villages during the second phase in the State by September 30. He emphasised the importance of distributing land title documents and installing boundary stones alongside the completion of the survey.

Additionally, the Chief Secretary set a deadline of September 15 for the construction of Village Secretariats and Raitu Bharosa Kendras. He also instructed officials to finalise the construction of YSR Health Clinics by the end of December. Dr. Reddy urged the relevant authorities to promptly address non-financial complaints under ‘Jaganannaku Chebudam’.

A virtual meeting was held on Saturday at the CS camp office in Vijayawada, attended by Chief Secretary Reddy, District Collectors, Joint Collectors, and CM Advisor Ajay Kallam. The meeting focused on ‘Jagananna Bhu Hakku Resurvey’, ‘Priority Buildings’, and ‘Jaganannaku Chebudam’.

During the meeting, progress on the ‘Jagananna Bhu Hakku Resurvey’ was reviewed, and district-wise updates were requested from the collectors. The Chief Secretary outlined the timeline for completing the second phase of the process, which included completing the village surveyor login data entry by July 31 and finalising the final Record of Rights (ROR) by August 31. He stressed the importance of timely publication and emphasised that the distribution of land title documents should be completed by September 30, with registrations commencing from October 15. Dr. Reddy urged the district collectors to prioritize this process and ensure its completion within the specified deadline while maintaining accuracy. Continuous monitoring at the Collector and Joint Collector levels was mandated to avoid errors.

G Sai Prasad, Special Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department and CCLA, provided an explanation of the district-wise second phase land survey for Jagananna Bhu Hakku through a PowerPoint presentation. He reported that 200,000 mutations and 400,000 subdivisions had been completed thus far, along with the resolution of 5.6 million boundary disputes.

Ajay Kallam, Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister, suggested sending digital copies of land documents to NRIs.

In response, Special CS Sai Prasad confirmed that PDF versions would be sent to the NRIs who owned the land.

Siddhartha Jain, Commissioner of the State Survey and Settlement Department, highlighted the use of survey stones during the 13th notification, noting that they should now be employed simultaneously rather than waiting for the completion of the ROR. He further mentioned that the ROR process had already concluded in over 700 villages.

Additional Secretary CMO R Mutyala Raju urged the collectors to expedite the registration process at the village level.

Additional CCLA A MD Imtiaz explained the ‘Bhu Kakku and resurvey’ process through a PowerPoint presentation.
