The Congress filed a complaint with the Moinabad police station on Friday against the 12 Congress MLAs who had joined the BRS in 2019 alleging that they had joined the BRS as per a quid pro quo deal.
The leaders, Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Mallu Ravi, Malreddy Rangareddy and others who first met in the CLP meeting later went to the Moinabad Police Station and complained about the 12 MLAs.
Later, speaking to the media, TPCC President Revanth Reddy demanded that the CBI should investigate the 12 MLAs who had defected from the Congress.
In the light of the High Court’s order to hand over the MLAs’ purchase case to the CBI, the TPCC requested that steps should be taken to investigate the Congress MLAs who had defected. The TPCC leaders filed a complaint with the Moinabad police with full details. He also said that the evidence given by them should be examined along with FIR No: 455. Revanth said he wants to expose KCR’s conspiracy to make the state opposition-less and to end KCR’s defection politics. Revanth was angry at the absence of top police officials when TPCC leaders went to file their complaint. It is unfortunate that ACP and CI level officers were not present at the station when Congress MPs and MLAs came to complain. They said that they complained to the available SI.
Revanth said that KCR wanted to consolidate his power by engineering defections. That is why from 2014 the BRS did not concentrate on administration and started to weaken the opposition.
He said that in 2018, KCR had 88 MLAs and even though the people had given an absolute majority to implement his promises, there was no change in KCR’s outlook. He said that even after coming to power a second time defections continued.
