The state government is working towards providing basic amenities in villages, along with the implementation of welfare schemes, said Minister for Excise, Tourism, and Culture Jupalli Krishna Rao.
The Minister, along with local MLA T Megha Reddy, laid the foundation stone for various developmental works worth Rs18.71 crore, including roads and drainage systems, in several villages of the Peddamandadi mandal under Wanaparthy constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasised that the development of villages is essential for the progress of the country. He mentioned that the state government is particularly focusing on providing basic infrastructure in rural areas. He highlighted that improving sanitation and road transportation in rural regions would lead to a higher standard of living.
MLA Megha Reddy, speaking in Veerayapally village, assured the people that all pending works would be completed by December this year. He also promised to grant Indiramma houses and ration cards to every family without a home.
In the Chilatoni Palli village of Peddamandadi mandal, MLA Megha Reddy laid the foundation for a side drainage system, with an expenditure of Rs 9.5 lakh. Subsequently, the foundation stone for drainage works worth Rs 15 lakh was laid in Veltoor village panchayat. In Gatla Khanapur, works for constructing the Alwal Mangampalli BT road at an estimated cost of Rs 3.20 crore, as well as drainage works worth Rs 10 lakh, were also inaugurated.
Along with local legislators, the Minister Krishna Rao, also laid the foundation for BT road works from Ampalli to Peddamandadi via Solar Plant.
The event was attended by Revenue Divisional Officer Subrahmanyam, Peddamandadi MRDO Saraswati, MPDO Sadguna, Single Window Director Sai Charan Reddy, and Panchayati Raj DE Lakshminarayana.
