Cong onslaught on democracy continues, says KTR

Must read

Forty-nine years ago, the Congress suppressed democratic rights and stifled public voices by imposing an Emergency in India, KTR said in a post on X on Tuesday.
“Decades later, the Congress’s onslaught on democracy continues. In Parliament, Congress leaders hold copies of the Constitution. A few kilometres away, in their head office, their leaders encourage defections and kill the spirit of the Constitution,” the BRS Working President said.
“Revanth spoke about ethics during the poll campaign but is behaving unethically while in government. In the past, he said it was a crime to win from one party and join another. You condemned defections. You called it a betrayal of party workers who carried the party on their shoulders. You also said that if MLAs change parties they should be stoned to death. You urged people to chase them out of their villages if they don’t resign. But today, you visit the homes of BRS MLAs and encourage them to change sides by draping Congress scarves on them. After delivering grand dialogues about punishing defectors, what temptations are you offering now? So now.
