BRS leaders are meeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy one after the other. Earlier, five BRS MLAs met the CM creating ripples among political observers.
On Saturday, Hyderabad Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi met the Chief Minister. However, she said that Municipal Administration is under the CM and so she had met the CM.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Thatikonda Rajaiah quit the BRS and immediately met the AICC General Secretary in-charge Deepa Das Munshi indicating that he is going to join the
Congress soon.
However, it is learnt that the Congress may launch its Operation Akarsh aimed at BRS
MLAs only after the LS polls that too depending upon the situation after the election. Till then the Congress may induct people like Thatikonda Rajaiah, who are not elected representatives now.
It is learnt that former TDP MLA and current BRS leader Peddi Reddy is also interested in
joining the Congress.
It may be recalled that Congress leaders have been saying that around 30 BRS MLAs are in touch with them and are ready to join the Congress. It is learnt that the Congress is not encouraging defections now as LS polls are approaching.
