Mahbubnagar Congress leaders are trying to organise a public meeting in Kollapur like the one held at Khammam attended by former AICC president Rahul Gandhi at which suspended BRS leader Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy joined the Congress.
BRS suspended leader Jupally Krishna Rao and Kuchukulla Damodar Reddy and others are planning to join the Congress at the Kollapur meeting. The leaders decided to conduct the meeting after July 20.
Congress leaders held a meeting at a resort in Moinabad under the leadership of senior TPCC Vice-President Mallu Ravi. Leaders Jupally Krishna Rao, BRS MLC Kuchukulla Damodar Reddy, former MLAs Gurnath Reddy, Ch. Vamshichand Reddy, SA Sampath Kumar, Vamshikrishna, ZP Chairman Saritha, Tirupathaiah, General Secretaries Charan Kaushik, Abhilash Rao and others attended the meeting.
