The Telangana Congress is getting ready for the Lok Sabha elections. The party is conducting an extended meeting of the TPCC on January 3 under the leadership of TPCC President Chief Minister Revanth Reddy with Parliament elections on its agenda and aiming to win 17 seats. Ministers, MLAs, TPCC senior vice presidents, DCC presidents and general secretaries will attend the meeting. The new AICC additional in-charge general secretary of
Telangana Congress, Deepa Dasmunshi, is also attending the meeting. This meeting was planned to be held on December 24 and was postponed due to a meeting of district collectors.
After this meeting, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is going to attend AICC’s parliament election preparatory meeting being held on January 4 in New Delhi in which PCC presidents and CLP leaders will participate. Parliamentary constituency Minister in-charges and other senior leaders would prepare a report and submit it along with their observations. They will submit facts and strategies to win elections in their allotted constituencies.
The party has already appointed three types of incharges for all parliament constituencies.
The party is also concentrating on Assembly constituencies where it lost. Leaders are thinking about how to strengthen the party and increase the party’s voting percentage in those constituencies.
It is learnt that the Congress is also preparing a candidates’ list with five names for each constituency besides the names of leaders who have already got an assurance from the party. The party may give tickets to candidates who lost in the Assembly elections if the party cannot get better replacements.
