Declaring that the Congress will come to power in Telangana like in Karnataka, Rahul announced that his party will pay a pension of Rs 4,000 to the old and widows after coming to power in Telangana as per the scheme ‘Cheyutha.’
The Congress will distribute Podu lands to tribal people and will give Podu Land Pattas too after coming to power, Rahul said. He said the Congress announced the Farmers Declaration in Warangal and Youth Declaration in Hyderabad.
He said that the BRS destroyed the dreams of the Telangana people in the last nine years although it was the Congress which helped the people of Telangana to realize their dream of a separate state. He said that all four tyres of the BRS have been punctured on the highway, he said.
Rahul said that he is happy to come to Telangana after the Bharat Jodo Yatra. “I did Jodo yatra to unite the nation. I tried to ‘remove hatred’ from among the people. That is the ideology of the Congress. The nation supported Bharat Jodo Yatra. I thank everyone for participating in my Jodo Yatra,” he said.
He said that doors will always be open to leaders, who would like to join the Congress. He asked leaders who had left the Congress to come back.
“I hail Ponguleti for joining the Congress after quitting the BRS. Ponguleti is fighting like a tiger.
Khammam is a Congress fort. The Congress is in your mind and blood and so you are supporting its ideology.
I congratulate Bhatti Vikramarka for studying people’s problems through his Padayatra,” he said.
