‘Congress committed to Kamareddy BC declaration’

Making it clear that the Congress Government is committed to the Kamareddy BC Declaration, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief, B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, said that the Congress Government is committed to the caste census. He said discussions are going on across the nation about the caste census done in Telangana.
Mahesh was speaking while attending as the chief guest at the 194th state-level birth anniversary celebrations of Savitri Bai Phule organised by the BC Women’s Welfare Association at the Ravindra Bharati on Friday. He said that he had been fighting inside the Congress as the son of a BC individual and that it is unethical on the part of BRS leaders to speak about BCs.
Pointing out that the BRS government did not allocate a single Rupee to BC Corporations, he challenged the BJP and the BRS leaderships to reveal whether they have the guts to appoint a BC as the Working President of their parties.
Describing the Leader of the Opposition (LOP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, as another Jythirao Phule, Mahesh demanded that the Centre should conduct a caste census throughout the nation if it had any sincerity. It is ridiculous that BRS leaders, who deceived BCs totally, are now speaking about BCs, he said.
Mahesh said the Congress Government has been moving forward with foresight regarding education and health. He said the Congress government is a government that allows its leaders to question the party leadership irrespective of their castes. “Is it possible in the BRS and the BJP?” he asked.
