Amidst the election fever in five states and discussions on ‘Jamili Elections’ going on across the nation, the Congress is getting ready for an important meeting.

The Congress has decided to hold the meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) in Hyderabad on September 16, 17 and 18.

AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal revealed details regarding this on Monday through Twitter.

In his Twitter post, KC Venugopal said, “Under the leadership of President Mallikarjun @kharge ji and in the presence of CPP Chairperson Sonia Gandhi ji and former CP Sh.@Rahul Gandhi ji, the first meeting of the newly-constituted Congress Working Committee will be held in Hyderabad on September 16. On September 17, we will have an extended CWC meeting, with all PCC Chiefs and Congress Legislature Party Leaders. Subsequently, on the historic occasion of Telangana National Integration Day, we will hold a mega rally near Hyderabad, where we will announce the five guarantees for Telangana.

After the mega rally, the Congress President will flag off a cavalcade comprising CWC Members, invitees, PCC chiefs and CLP Leaders to visit all the 119 Assembly constituencies in Telangana.

On September 18, apart from sitting MPs, all leaders will hold a Karyakarta meeting and conduct door-to-door distribution of the charge sheet against the BRS government in the morning.

After lunch, they will interact with local influencers.

The event will culminate with a march to a statue of Mahatma Gandhi, BR Ambedkar or Komaram Bheem in the constituency. We are geared up for the fight. Make no mistake, the Congress is unstoppable.”

Revanth thanked the high command for giving a chance to hold CWC meetings in Hyderabad.

Reacting to the Congress high command decision, TPCC President Revanth Reddy expressed his heartfelt thanks to Sonia Gandhi, AICC President Kharge, top leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal for deciding to hold the newly formed CWC’s meeting on September 16 and 17 in Hyderabad.

Revanth said that by choosing Telangana as the venue for the CWC meetings, the Congress party’s highest decision-making body on the occasion of September 17, which is historically very important for Telangana, is proof of the Congress party’s regard for Telangana.

He said that the decision to organise the CWC meetings in Hyderabad will fill Telangana Congress leaders and cadres with enthusiasm.
