Congress High Command will decide\

Former MP Vijayashanthi said the Congress high command would decide on whether to take her into the TG Cabinet or not. However, she said she would work as per the decisions of the high command.
Vijayashanthi said that she had quit the BJP as the BJP and the BRS have a secret pact. She said that BJP leaders had invited her to join the BJP assuring that they would defeat KCR. However, the BJP had a secret pact and so she said she quit the BJP.
Speaking to the media after filing nomination papers for MLA quota MLC elections on Monday at the Telangana Assembly, Vijayashanthi said the Congress recognised the need for her as a BC woman and so the party had allotted her an MLC seat.
“We are Telangana activists. The Congress gave me priority as a Telangana activist. We are not beggars like BRS leaders to beg for seats and posts. I thank the Congress high command for giving me an MLC ticket. I will fulfil all the responsibilities entrusted to me. This is an honour given to Telangana activists,” she said.
