Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) general secretary Janampally Anirudh Reddy on Tuesday said that the Congress party, if voted to power, would scrap the Dharani portal.
Anirudh Reddy, who has been taking out Prajahitha padayatra, assured the people that the Congress, after coming to power, would scrap the Dharani portal and make strenuous efforts to find a solution to land disputes. He was speaking at a meeting held at Pasupula and Vallabhraopally villages under Jadcherla mandal in the distinct.
He expressed the opinion that the BRS government during the last nine years was unable to provide basic facilities to people in villages. He recalled that the people cutting across party lines fought even at the risk of their lives for the statehood of Telangana. But the objective for achieving statehood was not realised, he said.
Unemployed youth, farmers and farmworkers could not get any benefits though they took part in the movement for a separate Telangana. He accused the government of forcing the police to foist cases on critics. He said that the Congress would fight against the BRS leaders’ excesses.
