Congress to fight LS polls along with CPI in Telangana: Deepa

The Telangana Congress’s additional in-charge, Deepa Das Munshi, said that the Congress will go along with the CPI in the Lok Sabha elections as it did in the Assembly polls.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday in New Delhi, Deepa said that the Congress will fight the LS elections without announcing a Prime Minister candidate.
She said that the Congress will win most of the LS seats in Telangana due to the boost they got in the Assembly elections and that the BJP, the BRS and the AIMIM will join hands during LS polls.
The request by the Telangana Congress leadership to Sonia Gandhi to contest from Telangana is a good sign, Deepa said.
“However, I don’t know from where Sonia Gandhi will contest. The Congress stands to benefit if anyone belonging to the Nehru family contests from Telangana. I know fully well the Telangana Congress and I will go to Telangana in the first week of January. We will discuss about using the services of seniors who lost in the Assembly elections,” Deepa said.
