TPCC President Revanth Reddy said that even though Telangana state has been formed, justice can be done to Palamuru only if the Congress comes to power. He said that any development that occurred in Mahbubnagar district happened during Congress rule.
He said that Jurala, Nettempadu, Koil Sagar, Srisailam and Kalwakurthy lift irrigation schemes were built by Congress governments.
Many BRS and BJP leaders from Gadwala constituency joined the Congress on Tuesday. Among those who joined the Congress are former Market Committee Chairman Venkat Ramireddy, retired MEO Satyanarayana, MPTCs Shivareddy, Eshwar, former MPPs Govind, Naidu, Sarpanch Sunitha and ward members.
Revanth invited them into the Congress at his Jubilee Hills residence and called upon party ranks to publicise the failures of the BRS among the public with the slogan ‘Tiragabadadam….Tarimikodadam.’
He called upon party activists to work hard to make the Congress victorious in all the 14 Assembly seats in the combined Palamuru district.
As soon as the Congress comes to power, all irrigation projects in Palamuru district will be completed. We will implement the Chevella Dalit–Tribal Declaration and bring light into the lives of Dalits and tribals. Old people, widows, the disabled, beedi workers, single women, toddy tappers, handloom workers, AIDS victims, filaria and dialysis patients will be given a pension of Rs 4,000 per month, he said.
The loans of all farmers up to Rs 2 lakh would be waived and two lakh vacancies in government service would be filled. An LPG cylinder will be provided for Rs 500 and the government will bear medical expenses up to Rs 5 lakh for the poor through the Aarogyasri scheme. The poor who build houses will be given Rs 5 lakh, he said.
