Constituency watch PJR goodwill and KCR schemes reflect in Khairatabad segment

Voters of Khairatabad constituency are saying that they will vote for the KCR schemes or late P Janardhan Reddy’s (PJR) name. Slums, wealthy people and all kinds of people are staying in this constituency. PJR name is still resonating in the constituency. Many voters don’t even know the name of Congress Khairatabad candidate P Vijaya Reddy. The residents are naming Vijaya Reddy as PJR daughter, but not by her name.
The BRS government is fully expecting the welfare schemes of the government reach the people, which are pensions, double bedroom houses and other schemes. They feel that they will turn out to be a vote bank.
Nagamma from MBT Nagar said, “We have benefited a lot from the KCR schemes. My daughter got Rs 1 lakh and I am getting a pension amount of Rs 2,000.
Swapna said, “I got a double bedroom house and I am getting Rythu Bandhu money two times every year.”
Danam Nagender had won from here in the 2018 elections. He was not able to meet people for three years due to health issues. A few of the residents in the bastis said that he had built roads.
Congress candidate P Vijaya Reddy is hoping that anti-incumbency and PJR goodwill will help her in the elections. Vijaya had contested from Khairatabad in 2014 elections on YSRCP ticket but ended up in the third place and got 16.8% votes.  Khairatabad constituency has 2,89,558 votes of whom 1,50,892 are male, 1,38,639 are females and 27 are transgenders.
