Constitution stands as a shield for democracy: I & PR Addl Director

Information and Public Relations Additional Director L Swarnalatha has stated that the Indian Constitution embodies the core values of sovereignty, socialism, secularism, democracy, equality, and fraternity. She emphasized that, for 75 years, the Constitution has served as a shield for democracy, not just in India but also for democratic nations worldwide.
Speaking to the employees of the Information and Public Relations department on Tuesday, Swarnalatha highlighted the significant impact of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who effectively proved the concept of human equality. She pointed out that the Indian Constitution has become a guiding model for many constitutions globally, built on the foundational pillars of freedom, equality, and fraternity. Swarnalatha encouraged the employees to take pride in being part of this historic process.
She also acknowledged that the Constitution was framed under the leadership of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect, whose contributions were pivotal in preserving the spirit of democracy. Swarnalatha stressed the importance of commemorating Constitution Day and emphasized the need to pass on its significance to future generations.
