The Supreme Court on Friday questioned the CBI about the persistent delays in Jagan’s cases, to which the investigative agency attributed the postponements to lower court decisions. The court took up the hearing in MP Raghu Rama Krishna Raju’s plea to transfer Chief Minister Jagan’s disproportionate assets case from the Telugu states to another State. During the proceedings, the Supreme Court questioned the benefits of such delays and reminded the CBI of a previous order urging expeditious investigations into cases involving public representatives. The court scheduled the next hearing for April and indicated its intent to await a verdict from the Telangana High Court on the matter.
