All eyes are now on the 11 All India Service officers belonging to AP cadre, but are serving in Telangana and vice versa.

The Telangana High Court will decide whether they have to be sent back to Andhra Pradesh or retained. The High Court verdict was meant for 11 officials including DGP Anjani Kumar.

Chief Justice Ujjal Buyan will hear the petition of the officials on Thursday. The IPS officers include Anjani Kumar and Abhilasha Bhisht. The IAS officers are Vani Prasad and Vakati Karuna.

Senior IAS officer Somesh Kumar reported to the Andhra Pradesh cadre on January 12 after a directive from the Union Government’s Department of Personnel and Training.

The DoPT directed Somesh Kumar, former chief secretary of Telangana, to report to the AP cadre by January 12 as per the verdict of the High Court that struck down an order of the Central Administrative Tribunal letting him continue in Telangana cadre post-bifurcation in 2014.
