CPM urges govt to ensure free electricity to poor

Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) district secretary Mudireddy Sudhakar Reddy on Sunday said that a large number of eligible people are not getting free electricity up to 200 unit under Gruha Jytohi scheme.
In a media statement here, Sudhkar Reddy said that a large number of poor people were denied free electricity for one reason or other. He said that due to the mistakes made by the government machinery in registering the details of the applicants, a large number of eligible people are not getting free electricity and the poor are complaining that they are not getting free electricity and getting huge electricity bills.
He appealed to the government to rectify the mistakes immediately and ensure that every eligible household gets free electricity.
The Nalgonda district committee of the CPI-M demanded that the State government take immediate steps to rectify the mistakes and provide free electricity to the genuine beneficiaries.
