The agenda of the Communists would be to defeat the conspiracies of the BJP which was fuelling communalism in Telangana, said CPM State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram.
On Saturday, he inaugurated the new office of the CPM in Kalwakuntla village and also the Bondu Pedda Narasimha martyrs’ memorial. Earlier, he paid tributes to the martyrs and hoisted the party flag. Later, he led a huge rally that was taken out through the main thoroughfares of the village.
Later, addressing a meeting, Veerabhadram said that the days when the Communist party would play a crucial role in national politics were not far away. He said that the CPM played a vital role to defeat the BJP in the Munugode bypolls. The Communist party activists were in the forefront to defeat the BJP, he claimed.
The Communists are ready to expose the BJP, which is spreading communalism in the country.
Besides waging battles against the BJP, the CPM is allying with the anti-BJP parties, he added.
He appealed to the cadres to be prepared to launch united struggles to drive away the BJP from the nation’s soil.
He demanded the BRS government to solve the problems of the people by fulfilling the electoral promises. He appealed to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to take steps to implement Kalyana Lakshmi, resolve the Dharani portal problems and Podu lands issue, distribute 2 BHK houses among the homeless poor, and resolve the Asara pension applicants’ problems.
He thanked the Chief Minister as the government resolved the VRAs’ problems. In the same fashion, he appealed to the government to solve the problems of gram panchayat secretaries, panchayat workers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi teachers and other workers.
He demanded that the Centre give Rs 10 lakh and the state government Rs 5 lakh to the homeless poor to build their own house as Rs 3 lakh sanctioned by the government is wholly inadequate.
CPM District Secretary Mudireddy Sudhakar Reddy said that the Kalwakuntla villagers by presenting their art forms in other villages mobilised funds to buy 10 guntas of land to build the party office.
District Executive Body member Banda Srisailam, Praja Natya Mandali state president Anand, DYFI former state secretary I Vijaya Kumar and others took part in the event.
