The Telangana Government has sanctioned Rs 51.52 crore as compensation for farmers who suffered crop losses due to unseasonal rains and hailstorms in the last two months.

The decision comes after a detailed survey conducted by the Agriculture Department as per Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s directions.

The department, after assessing the crop damage in various districts, submitted its findings to the government. The report estimated that crops on 50,528 acres were lost, affecting 41,361 farmers in 29 districts.
