District Collector AS Dinesh Kumar has directed the officials to carry out an enumeration of crop loss in a transparent manner and without flaws.

The Collector held a meeting virtually on Tuesday with the RDOs, Tahsildars, and agriculture officials and reviewed various issues including the damage to crops due to rains. The Collector said that the government would extend all needed help to the rain-hit farmers whose crops were damaged.

The Collector told the officials concerned to go to the affected fields and register the details of the damaged crops in the presence of the farmers concerned. He directed the Tehsildars and Mandal Agriculture Officer to visit all the villages under their jurisdiction.

The Collector asked the officials to make a public announcement at the respective villages on registering crop loss details. The details of crop loss should be displayed at all Rythu Bharosa Kendras for social audit. The Collector warned that strict action would be taken against the officials concerned if they were indifferent or committed irregularities in registering crop loss transparently.

The officials should strive to do justice to all the farmers who lost their crops, he told the officials and asked them to allay the doubts of farmers in this regard. The Collector announced that a special call centre was set up in the agriculture office with phone number 83310 57048.

The Collector assured the farmers of purchasing the discoloured paddy and directed the officials to create awareness among the farmers in this regard. He called upon the farmers not to sell their paddy process at lesser prices than the MSP.

Collector Dinesh Kumar told the officials that the land audit should be done without any errors, adding that the distribution of house pattas should be expedited where there were no court cases.

He asked the officials to ensure that all the beneficiaries should construct houses on the house sites. Joint Collector M Abhishikt Kishore, DRO B Chinaobulesu, district agriculture officer Srinivasa Rao, and horticulture officer Gopichand were among those who were present.
