State Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari has alerted all district collectors to remain vigilant as the Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rains across the State for the next three days. She mentioned that the Chief Minister has been continuously monitoring the widespread rains of the past week and has instructed officials to take measures to prevent any loss of life or property.
Collectors have been directed to set up rehabilitation centres in advance and to work in coordination with the police, irrigation, panchayat raj, fire departments, NDRF and SDRF. DGP Jitender and Planning Secretary Sandeep Sultania also participated in the teleconference. They emphasised the importance of taking precautions to prevent breaches in full tanks and ponds. Shanti Kumari advised the collectors to set up special control rooms in all districts and to ensure readiness to provide emergency assistance at any time.
She stressed the need for vigilance in low-lying areas, tank bunds and flood-prone regions, advising the establishment of appropriate security to prevent people from crossing overflowing streams.
DGP Jitender reported that all police commissioners and SPs are working in coordination with district collectors and other government officials, with police officials supervising the situation on the ground. Sandeep Sultania mentioned the possibility of moderate to heavy rains accompanied by winds of 30 to 40 km/h in several districts over the next three days.
The second flood warning has already been issued at Bhadrachalam, and a third warning will be issued if water levels reach 53 feet, according to the Bhadradri\Kothagudem Collector. The Collector also reported the submission of preliminary reports on damaged houses and other losses to the government, and the readiness of NDRF and SDRF teams to handle any unforeseen incidents.
The Mulugu District Collector highlighted the proactive measures taken by identifying 77 villages as problematic in the Godavari basin and establishing precautionary measures for the approximately 100 km stretch. Regular updates on the situation are being monitored by designated information officers in each village.

The teleconference included participation from collectors, CPs, SPs, officials from irrigation, power departments, and the GHMC Commissioner, who reported on the current conditions and actions being taken in their respective areas.
